A boot horn (or boot bib) is a smooth, flexible, partially recycled-plastic chute that slides inside the back of a boot, reducing friction so your foot slides in easily instead of catching or dragging on the liner. The trixski Boot Bib solves the common ski-boot struggle of wrestling a foot into a stiff boot shell and works just as well removing your foot afterwards — a problem most skiers know all too well after a long day.

Unlike a traditional shoe horn, which sits at the heel, this design lines the whole back of the boot, so it protects the liner from wear as well as easing entry.

Key features

  •          Chute-style design – slides down inside the back of the boot, creating a smooth surface for your foot (and sock) to glide over rather than snag against the liner fabric.
  •          Works well for those with high insteps or inflexible ankles.
  •          Two sizes – Junior (up to boot size 22 / UK 3 / EU 35) and Senior (22+ / UK 3+ / EU 35+), so it's sized to fit properly rather than being one-size-fits-all.
  •          Protects the boot liner – reduces the repeated friction and stretching that liners take when feet are forced in without assistance, helping them last longer.
  •          Works with removable liners – functions equally well when the liner is out of the shell, useful if you need to dry or adjust it separately then reinsert.
  •          Made from 10% recycled plastic – a more sustainable material choice without compromising durability.
  •          Compact, light and packable – lies flat, so it's easy to pack in a ski bag or suitcase.
  •          Versatile use – also works with wellies, riding boots, and walking boots, so not just ski boots.
  •          Used by ski boot sellers and retail shops, which shows to how genuinely useful it is in fitting rooms as well as at home.

FAQ

Will a boot bib work with stiff ski boots?

Yes — it's specifically designed to reduce the friction that makes stiff-shelled ski boots hard to get on, sliding the foot in more smoothly than forcing it in unaided.

Does it help if I have high arches?

Yes — it's noted as working well for people with higher-arched feet, who often find ski boots particularly difficult to get on and off.

How do I know which size to choose?

Choose Junior for boot sizes up to 22 (UK 3 / EU 35) and Senior for boot sizes above that — checking your ski boot's marked size will tell you which one you need.

Will it damage my boot liner?

No — if anything, it protects the liner, since sliding a boot bib in reduces the stretching and friction that repeated bare-foot entry causes over a season.

Can I use it with boots other than ski boots?

Yes — it also works well with wellies, riding boots and walking boots, so it's useful beyond the ski season.

Is it easy to pack for a ski trip?

Yes — it's flat and compact, so it fits easily into a suitcase or ski bag without adding noticeable bulk.
