A shin sleeve is a padded compression sleeve worn on the lower leg (from knee to ankle) to cushion the shin against pressure and improve circulation, commonly used to ease discomfort from tight-fitting boots. The trixski Compression Cushion Shin Sleeves are soft, cushioned sleeves designed specifically for skiers who get sore shins or poor circulation from the rigid front of a ski boot pressing against the leg all day.

Ski boots are built stiff and unforgiving by design and the front boot cuff can dig into the shin over hours on the mountain. These sleeves sit between the leg and boot, cushioning that pressure point rather than leaving skin and shin bone to absorb it directly.

Key features

  •          Cushioned compression fabric – pads the shin area to reduce the discomfort of boot pressure, while the compression element supports circulation.
  •          Enhanced circulation – the compression fit is designed to support blood flow in the lower leg during long periods in tight ski boots.
  •          Extra warmth – adds a layer of insulation to the lower leg and feet, useful on cold days.
  •          Non-slip silicone grip at top and bottom – keeps the sleeve in place rather than sliding down inside the boot during skiing.
  •          Three sizes – Medium (26cm diameter), Large (28cm diameter), and Extra Large (32cm diameter), all 30cm long, so fit can be matched to leg size.
  •          Gentle hand wash (20–30°C) to protect the compression fabric.

FAQ

Will these actually reduce shin pain from ski boots?

Yes — the cushioned fabric is specifically designed to pad the pressure point where the boot cuff presses against the shin, which is the common cause of that discomfort.

Should I wear ski socks over or under the sleeves?

Either works — wearing fine ski socks under the sleeves is the usual approach, but wearing socks over the top can help if the sleeves tend to ride up once boots are on.

How do I know which size to choose?

Measure the diameter at the top of your shin and compare against Medium (26cm), Large (28cm) or Extra Large (32cm) — all three are 30cm long.

Will they stay in place while skiing?

Yes — the non-slip silicone grip at the top and bottom is specifically there to stop the sleeve sliding down inside the boot during use.

Can these help with circulation as well as comfort?

Yes — the compression element is designed to support blood flow in the lower leg, alongside the cushioning for boot pressure.

How should I wash them?

Hand wash gently at 20–30°C to protect the compression fabric and keep it performing well over time.
